| - Do not go to this studio!!!! Take it from someone who has frequented many studios throughout the valley. Bikram Yoga Las Vegas is not worth your time or money, no matter how lucrative they make their groupon, its a trap. I took a 10am Saturday class and was verbally assaulted by the instructor, Jordan Tucker, after every sequence because I wasn't doing the pose the way he wanted. He even raised his voice at me when I chose to do a pyramid pose at a different angle than the rest of the class. I was simply doing the ashtanga version of every pose, my body just naturally moves that way. Jordan Tucker is a very unstable individual he even told me during a tree pose that he felt bad for my body, while I was trying to balance!! He also insinuated that I looked pregnant, I am not. When I complained to the front desk I asked if this was the first time they have had complaints about him, and the front desk chic rolled her eyes and said no we have had many issues with him. SO WHY IS HE STILL TEACHING AND ALLOWED TO INTERACT WITH CUSTOMERS? I wasn't the only one who complained that day there were two other people, one who stuck up for me in the classroom and one who complained to the front desk attendant after class. Someone even asked him to let go of his anger during class, because his negativity was ruining everyone's experience. (And he was making me cry) The yoga teacher, heard me complaining after class and he stormed out of the locker room and didn't even try and apologize just started screaming that I was a terrible person and that I had issues. I have never been body shamed in a yoga class, but I guess there is a first time for everything. If you want to leave a yoga class feeling depressed and disrespected, this is the place for you.
Don't even get me started on the smell of this place, and general cleanliness. Truly disgusting, I would be worried about diseases and skin issues if practicing here. The studio is carpeted, which is asinine considering that its nearly impossible to insure the sterilization of the floor especially when the room is set to 50% humidity and 105 degrees Fahrenheit. There's probably years of sweat soaked into the carpet. You can even feel the moisture on the carpet when you walk across it, YUCK!
AVOID AT ALL COSTS. I never write yelp reviews, but felt that after my experience it was my civic duty to warn others.
