  • Horrible! In March I hired Elite Moving & Storage to move my things from my apartment in South Pasadena to my new home in Arizona. The biggest thing they had to move was my mattress and box spring. I paid them to wrap my mattress and box spring, paid an additional fee for carrying the bed over 75 feet, and paid for the transport of the bed. On arrival there was a good size hole in my mattress. Their third party administrator, Anthem Claim Management in Anthem AZ sent a letter stating their limit of liability is .60 per pound pursuant to the limitations of the US Dept of Transportation. I unfortunately did not purchase additional insurance. Total amount offered, $48. The US DOT should revisit their policy to drive accountability on the people who are getting paid to do a job, and at present can do it haphazardly without repercussions.
