I was never able to use their moving services -- never got past the first phone call. I had bought a Living Social for 2 hours of their moving services, and called them to make an appointment. I was brusquely told that they were not taking reservations.
He said that they had told Living Social to take it down, but it wasn't. Which is all fine, and I totally understand. But it really bothered me how the person on the phone was so rude and unaccommodating. Their rates are competitive, how about apologizing for the inconvenience and saying something like, we have dates available after XX/XX and we can offer a small discount or we could give you a call if a spot opens up.
Something cordial would have been nice, instead of rudely putting the blame on me like I was inconveniencing him for calling him. I understand they may be booked solid, but as a business you need a contingency plan on how to deal with customer service. That's it! If it had been politely explained to me, I would be sad I didn't get an appointment, but I would not be as pissed as I am now.
So much for "Offering guaranteed appointments...and helpful, experienced staff" as stated on their Living Social description.
