Born and raised in Charlotte. Not from Carson City, NV
I've never had a problem with the service department (only mounting new tires). The sales and customer service side of this business is some of the worst I have seen. Total incompetence.
I bought at 2014 Multi PP back in 2013 of Nov. I traded in a 2009 Hyper 1200 that I owned, and I paid the rest of the difference in cash. For the price of a Pikes Peak, that is a large sum of money. I also feel that on a purchase this big they should go above in beyond making me feel good about the large sum of money I just spent.
The salesman that set up the sale was totally incompetent. My bike had to be ordered, so there was a wait involved. He never called and updated me like he said he would. I always had to call and ask the status of my bike. Each time I called they made me feel unimportant, and like I was a problem.
I waited a total of 6 weeks when they promised 4. The day I picked up my bike was an ordeal. The gentleman handling all of the paperwork said he was handed my info/paperwork 30 minutes before I got there. Long story short...it took about 5 hours to get out of there on my new bike. There was a discrepancy with my title on the Hyper, so I had to leave and clear with the DMV. Did anyone call me about this discrepancy within the 6 weeks I waited? Absolutely not. I was livid. I don't do business that way. I like to have all of my Ducks in a row before I proceed with a project.
Why have I waited so long to post a review? I don't know. I think about the entire experience often. I love my bike, and when I work on it I think about all of the trouble it was to get her.
In all, it was the worst purchase experience as a customer I've ever encountered. All I was really looking for from these guys were accountability. Hold yourself accountable for your own incompetence. Instead they made me feel like I was the problem throughout the entire Sale.
To be fair, they did give me a free Ducati Air Mesh jacket for the troubles. I haven't worn it once, and I'm still trying to sell it to this day.
