  • O.K. this review is from the guest perspective and so this will be different than if I had hired them. So, I was here on 6/16/12 for the best friends wedding. I have been helping her plan this for a year and I have been in on the ground floor of all the plans for food and what not as well as my own involvement in the floral needs (which I created out of silk for her as she is very allergic) so I was very invested in this venture. So that said, the hall was in a strip mall. Yes, strip mall. Inside is nice and the hall had very nice silk wreaths around hurricane candles (Bride's request) and the room was set up well. Round tables that sat 8 . A bar, coffee station, dance floor and buffet area that was separate. ( I have been to a few weddings where the food was served from the dance floor.) We agreed on no seating chart as nobody really stays where you put them, and the chairs were nice solid dining room style chairs and not flimsy banquet chairs. Since it was cheaper, the bride and groom provided their own liquor and it was well served in real glasses, which again, was nice. The salads were typical mixed greens, pre-dressed, but nice and cold. Served before the bridal party entered (unusual) but things started promptly at 6. The buffet was typical, green beans, boiled potatoes, pasta in red sauce, chicken and a beef carving station, with au jus and horseradish sauce, Two kinds of rolls were served table side and a coffee pitcher was placed on the table at the beginning of dinner. The chicken, if you could call it chicken, was mushy and bland. Allegedly grilled and in a champange sauce (which just tasted like thickened chicken broth to me) . The pasta was terribly over cooked . I've had better texture from canned. The potatoes were very good and I am told that the beef was excellent. ( I don't eat red meat, so I took the word of others.) After dinner, there were several pastry plates placed around and some REALLY good 21 and older truffles made the rounds. The deserts were tasty and the cake was wrapped to go. (A friend of mine made that.) The D.J. was really good, and played a nice mix of fast and slow songs, and seemed to really listen to my friend about her tastes. All in all it was a good evening and if I would not hesitate to go here again for another event. Would I hire them, maybe. I'll have to ask my friend when she gets back what she thought of them over all.
