I took my girlfriend's 2006 Corolla with 188K miles on it in for an oil change on 1/18/18... I chose the "blend" oil since that is what we have been running in it... They use Conoco which I later found out is a Phillips 66 product... Can't go wrong there I guess.... Mostly all oils these days are very good especially those that are partly synthetic or fully synthetic... It is quality enough to go 5K which is how long we go between oil changes... Since I keep a ledger of maintenance on both of our cars and know what needs to be done and when, I declined the 32 point free inspection... The oil change was pretty routine--I watched the tech from outside and he just went about the task professionally... He did check the air in all 4 tires which is fine.. The shop seemed steady in business and I told the latina girl working there that they seem pretty honest and that I am always reluctant of mechanic shops(that is why I declined the 32 point inspection).... I do feel for single females that may not know so much about cars being easy prey... She did indicate to me that she had been working there quite a while and will not work for dishonest shops because she had before and it was too stressful... This was a good sign....
My cost came to $20.96 total which was very good.... I will go back for oil changes at least for the girlfriend's car..... My Corolla is more "kept" at 2005 with 90K miles on it.... I do my own oil changes on it with full synthetic----it's my baby!!!
