I was looking for a new nail salon in my neighborhood and came across DBL. I called to make an appointment and left a message. They returned my call and were able to find a day and time so I booked my first appointment. When I asked for their phone number to record into my outlook, the girl did not know it. How can you not know the number where you work?! Then after booking my appointment she asked who had referred me. I told her I didn't have a referral for I found DBL on my own she said she needed to put me on hold and asked if someone could "deal with this". I innocently called for an appointment not knowing anything about their referral requirement and to be snubbed about it is utterly ridiculous. I respect that they are a referral business but the referral question should have been asked up front and then I would have hung up with no hard feelings. But to hear them say "deal with this" when I had innocently made the call just shows that they are not over the fact that they did not get into their first choice sorority in college and are trying to compensate for it now. Lesson for DBL: treat your non-customers as well as your customers and your word of mouth will carry you further. Good luck girls.
