We bought a living room and bedroom set for our new house. Paid cash. Both the sales guy and the (I'm assuming, based on how little he was doing) manager at the back counter were apathetic, unhelpful, and hurried. We mentioned we didn't want the fabric/furniture care kits (I can spend $10 a Target and get better products), and it was like a personal attack on the sales guy. He said to the manager something to the effect of: "yeah they don't want the protection kits... I know..." *shrugs* right in front of us.
Look, I know you make a killing on selling that garbage, but maybe just do what I want without making a scene about it?
They also wouldn't waive a delivery fee for one of our pieces that wasn't in stock (wait 3 weeks for your furniture, or we can deliver the loveseat separately later for another fee -- I just drove down to the warehouse to get it myself).
Furniture we bought has been great. But I'll probably go to another location next time. Not worth putting up with people like this, especially when I'm spending as much as I did.
