At the end of August I traded in an 07 Hyundai for a brand new one. I went to Horne to buy my first one and I wish I had gone back there this time around. First off the salemsan, "Mr. Bob", AFTER we had signed all of the paperwork, asked us to call our insurance agent and have them go to the dealership and replace the windshield on the car that we had traded in. Totally unethical! We didn't even own it at that point! He even called me days after the purchase to hound me into doing it.
The finance guy, Chuck seemed nice and promised we'd hear in a "couple of days" who our lender would be. When we asked about setting up automatic withdrawals for payment, he claimed that that would also be set up when the lender called. No mention of how/when payments would occur. Of course we never received any calls until AFTER I filled out a survey online and explicitly laid out these issues and requested a phone call. So Chuck the finance guy calls at 8:30 at night when I'm putting my kids to bed and leaves a nasty message stating that "your payment will be due on October 14 OR 15, which I went over with you when you signed your contract". Obviously he felt the need to be a lying jerk since most likely felt some heat after my survey. This final experience has solidified my decision to never return to San Tan Hyundai and to warn others to not make purchases there either. There are more ethical, consumer-minded dealerships in the Valley-take your business to them!!!!!
