| - My first food truck festival experience was Saturday, and let me tell you, it was great!!
My husband (that never gets old!) and I were playing disc golf at Sunset early in the morning, and around 1:00pm, decided to walk over to curb our growing hunger.
Morgan desperately wanted to try Cousins Maine Lobster, so we went there first. $14 for a lobster roll is a little steep, but man, oh man, it was worth it! Tons of lobster meat, delicious butter, tasty bread...the Connecticut Lobster roll was amazing. I was intrigued by the lobster ice cream, but they were sold out.
We stopped by Slidin Thru for me, they're an old favorite of mine, and I had my YaYa slider. not as awesome as I remembered, it was missing the tzasiki sauce, but the burger itself was seasoned well, and it tasted pretty good.
The winner of the day, however, was Stripchezze. The Daddy on a Roll was the best thing I ate all day. Deep fried mac n cheese egg rolls with a kimchi dipping sauce...I can't even begin to describe how amazing this was. Totally worth the $7, and there was a lot of food.
The setup of the event was easy to navigate, and I LOVE that it isn't an admission based event. Just walk in, and buy your food!
I really can't wait to do another one! Next time I'll try some of the sweets trucks!
