  • Had one of those "Oh sh*t, I need a something for a dinner party" moments about 10 min. before we were due to arrive at the host's house. Dashed into Max's Market to grab a last minute dessert. They had a nice selection of cakes (mainly from Dufflet's), cupcakes and pies. We decided on a pecan pie ($9) and it was declared by a few people at dinner to be the *best* pecan pie they ever tasted. I was super tempted to lie, say that I made it myself and reap the accolades but I'm just too honest. People who know me, know that I don't bake. I'm just good at finding places that have good desserts.
