  • RACIST STAFF!!! My boyfriend's parents let us use their condo for Valentine's Day, and although it's HIS place, they let me up with no problems while I waited for my boyfriend for almost an hour up there. Turns out the racist security officer has KICKED MY BOYFRIEND OUT OF THE LOBBY OF HIS OWN CONDO. They asked for his ID, all his contact info. and then said he couldn't get up without some sort of verification card or proof his parents owned the property? Meanwhile I just walked straight in no problem with his spare key?? I don't even own the property, I just said my parents in law are letting me use their condo. My boyfriend came up and actually said his parents owned the property's although I called Security TWICE to let him up, they wouldn't let my boyfriend up without proof!! It got sooo bad we had to call the property managers, his parents, and THE PROPERTY MANAGERS told him to LET HIM UP and they can't defy their orders because THEY OWN the property. THEEN this asshole security offer said "well Its policy that I can still refuse. Anyone could have been on that phone call." But!! They called you and you have their number on file!! The security guard was literally being a racist POS! My boyfriend is a big black guy and I'm a small Italian girl. We came back multiple times to this same answer. We wasted over five hours. Our parents couldn't come down that moment, otherwise they'd probably be using the damn condo, so we literally had to sheepishly and embarrassingly go home and cancel all our Valentine's Day plans. His parents came back to town today to see what the problem was, and they said they need verification next time his parents owned he property. I asked how come they let me in with no questions and did they want like a birth certificate to prove he's their son or what were they looking for??? A Facebook confirmation that they're related??? We'd like the Martin to contact us immediately to sort this out as we'll be using the condo in the future- or maybe not at all entirely. How can this issue not only be resolved, but make sure it doesn't happen again. Not only is my Valentine's Day experience ruined but leaves a bad taste on my mouth about how your staff treats people of color. It makes me feel bad what his poor family must deal with on a daily basis with you guys. If this isn't rectified immediately, we will be reaching out past you until this is resolved.
