  • An awesome undertaking and I found the most amazing was that many of the infrastructure parts are original from the 30s. I feel this was back in the day people made things to last. The two 300 ton crains in the generator level and the 19 generators producing 2gw of power at 16,500VAC then transformed up to 200kv for transmission. The docents were quite knowledgeable making this a well worth experience. We had gone on the $15 power plant tour which we found sufficiently informative for my group.
