  • I saw Dr Rojas a long time ago before consulting my current ob. She was my ob for quite a while while I was healthy and in my late 20s. During that time she used cancer scare tactics to increase visits and pad the bill doing treatments and checks for things I found out I didn't really need. This all makes sense seeing as how the office tries to upsell you on cosmetic prescriptions, and your actual encounter with the doctor is about 3 seconds long. Without any irregularity or complaints, the DR. Had me do an ultrasound (which was extremely painful and uncountable). They found a cyst. They scared me and told me it could be cancer, and I better come back every month for another ultrasound to make sure the cyst doesn't grow... mind you, these ultrasounds aren't cheap. After about my 4th experience of getting a giant first shoved inside me, with only the explanation of, "looks like you're fine, but there's another cyst that could be cancer, better come back for another ultrasound" I got a second opinion. My current ob explained to me that all women get a cyst once a month before the egg releases. It then bursts and a new cyst forms. It is healthy and normal to have one cyst every month, and there is absolutely no need for an ultrasound, especially since I had not had any concerns or issues. So please don't fall for this everyone. You might think just because her office is pretty and she has a Chihouli glass sculpture in the waiting room that she's a good doctor, but it really just means she's good at getting your money.
