| - TL:DR. TO THOSE THAT ARE SENSITIVE TO MSG, BEWARE. Good dim sum, very affordable prices for a casino setting. BTW, they do not accept Discover as a form of credit card.
Coming from a city that is very big on dim sum, Ping Pang Pong gets the job done for Vegas dim sum. Now i will admit that it is not Los Angeles or San Francisco quality, this place still offers a lot of varieties that are seen in dim sum places. They have the old fashioned feel of steam carts being pushed around while you pick your selections, and the steam foods are very fresh during dim sum service.
They also offer a very nice late night menu as a lot of their dishes resemble good Cantonese flavor. Selected dim sum is offered at night time. The rice plates are tasty while they serve up some of the Chinese favorites such as Salt and Pepper Pork Chops, steamed razor clams/scallops, Mapo Tofu, and Asian vegetables. Fried rice and noodle plates are also solid. Also, they have a special where they serve a 5 pound lobster for about $80, not a bad deal in this town.
The service here is what you would expect from a Chinese restaurant, quick and convenient, and the servers definitely know how to do their jobs well. The servers are very English friendly if needed be.
As for the bad, the wait here can be very long during lunch hours, as well as opening of dinner service. Also, if you are sensitive to MSG, do not eat here as they are definitely not shy of it. You will know with crazy amount of thirst after you eat.
