  • Fumiji has the best Sushi hands down of anyone in the Charlotte area. I have been a huge fan of New Zealand Cafe for many years, which I still like, however I prefer eating at Fujimi much more. First of all, my husband and I love to order Sushi rolls that include some type of salmon. Fujimi's salmon is top quality and it literally melts in your mouth like butter. We do not use any sauces or ginger/wasabi so all we have to go on is the actually taste/quality of the fish. The head chef Yoshi has been so kind to us, always making special alterations since my husband has a soy allergy. I know, who eats at a Sushi place if they have a soy allergy. :-) Anyway, my favorite rolls are the Alaska Rolls and the Yellowtail Rolls. The last time we were there I tried a traditional Japanese Salmon appetizer that had a special homemade soy and wasabi sauce that was passed down to Yoshi by his father. Fujimi really will make you feel like family if you give them a chance. The service is always prompt and courteous. I can't imagine going anywhere else. This is truly a Charlotte gem.
