| - Thoroughly disappointed in my stay at the Hyatt Regency. Over Memorial day weekend, we choose to stay at the hotel on Monday night. Unbeknownst to us, they had some electrical issues over the weekend. There was to be a planned power outage on Tuesday morning, at no point during check in was I made aware of this. Tuesday morning, after I had left, my companion stayed as she did not have any engagements until later in the morning. When the power was shut off around nine, she had no idea what was going on. Unable to call the desk, she waited and hoped it would come back on. Only after more than an hour did she notice the sealed envelope, with the notification that there was a planned outage from nine AM until two PM. She was unable to shower or prepare for her day, causing cancellation of both doctor and business appointments made for the afternoon.
When I contacted the desk manager later in the week to express my dissatisfaction, she was very apologetic, offered to reimburse me for the nights stay, and offered another night compliments of Hyatt at a later date.
I have neither been reimbursed, nor received any kind of notification. This really furthers my disappointment in the communication from Hyatt.
Clearly not focused on the satisfaction of their guests.
