| - What happened to this place?
We went for dinner over the weekend, and the food was horrible. Sheerly, purely horrible.
We ordered the mixed appetizer platter to start. The food was so overly salty, it was unpalatable. We also ordered tandoori chicken wings, which, in the rest of the Indian restaurant world, would be dry-style red chicken wings on a plate. Here they brought it out on a sizzling platter with a ridiculously large amount of peppers and onions. It was like a fajita plate. The wings weren't tandoori style, either. They were grilled, and since they were covered in peppers and onions, were soggy. Bleh.
Moving onto entrée...DH ordered the tandoori lamb. Same sitch as the wings - came out as tiny chunks of lamb mixed with peppers and onions on a sizzling (fajita) platter. I ordered a curry dish which was good. No complaints there, and they got the spice done right.
We also ordered naan, which was BURNT. In my long life, I've never once had burnt naan. Normally it's fluffy and light. Theirs was burnt and flat. It wasn't very fresh-tasting either, so I suspect it was leftover from the lunch buffet, and reheated, hence the dry texture and the char.
Not sure if it was a REALLY REALLY off night, but the entire meal was pretty bad. We took home nearly all of it, and tossed it as soon as we could.
Won't be back.
