  • V removed all of the flooring in my 1950's house, and polished and stained the concrete. Because the houses in my neighborhood were originally poured with colored concrete, I didn't have much choice on color options, but Jed helped me pick the one that would work best with what I had. Jed is the estimator and owner - a terrific guy, a Big Red football fan, and extremely responsive to his customers. He gave me lots of info beforehand, and got the job done in the time-frame he had originally given. I'm liking my "new" floors more every day, and am very glad I had them done. There was a minor problem with his crew about when they would be leaving one afternoon, but it was handled by Jed. For those who are considering this flooring option, as another reviewer mentioned, it's not for the OCD crowd. My dining room apparently had 6" tile at some point in its history, and you can still see the outline of the mortar for those tiles in spite of the team grinding off almost half an inch of concrete. Jed had warned me about this possibility (called "ghosting"), and now that the furniture's back, it's not as obvious as it was when the room was empty. I've decided to consider it part of the "charm" of the house, and won't bother trying to disguise it, but it took me a few days to get used to it.
