  • I've had service from Western Wimax for a year now. The service is absolutely terrible! It is likely the slowest I've ever experienced - its pretty bad when you stay in a hotel with bad Internet and feel like you've finally got good Internet! I pay for 10 Mbps rates, but according to speedtest.net, I actually receive only 2 Mbps on a VERY good day. Forget about it when it gets busy. All you get is "Cannot find server" or "Request Timeout" etc. errors. It's very frustrating. So why on Earth do I stay with them? They're the only game in town (Desert Hills) taking new subscribers.
