We are currently renting and the homeowner called Silverstate Plumbing to do some repair work on the main water line unit. The technician was polite, however, told us that he couldn't do the repair because he didn't have the replacement parts and we'd have to schedule for another time. Frustrating, but it happens.
The homeowner scheduled them to return the following day, today, with a repair window of 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, as that fits my and my husband's work schedule as it wasn't an emergency service call. So who do we hear pounding on our door this morning at 5:50 AM? Yes, the same technician who came last night saying that his dispatch told him we requested a 5:00 AM to 7:00 AM service window! We thought that someone was trying to break into our house and scared my family to death!!!
There seems to be a HUGE communication problem here between the Silverstate Plumbing dispatch office and their technicians as something like this should never have occurred in the first place. Plus...we were told that the technician would "courtesy call" us when he was en route to our house so that we could be home during the service window (we both have full time jobs and can't just leave whenever we feel like it!) and never got the call last night OR this morning. A double CUSTOMER SERVICE FAIL.
I'm hopeful that the work will be completed today and correctly, however, we will NEVER use this company when we purchase our home.
