We were looking for something new to try on our vacation to Toronto and found Bad Axe Throwing on Groupon. It was a really fun experience. I enjoyed learning how to throw an axe and giving my arms a workout at the same time. I was surprised to learn that it is a lot easier than it looks. My husband and I were hitting the target and the axe was sticking about 25-50% of the time after practicing only 15 minutes. I will say this experience could be improved via a number of things. First, it would be nice if Bad Axe had food and/or drink available. Second, after we were given some brief instruction about throwing in the beginning, the woman who worked at Bad Axe left us alone (despite no one else being in the building for half of our time there). It would have been nice if she had come over and given us a few more pointers or taught us some games other than "let's see who can get more points." Finally, this place is very easy to miss and could use some better signage. We put it in our GPS, which helped. The parking situation could also be better. There was some limited parking available to the side of the building when we came, which I'm very thankful for because street parking is only an hour long nearby and could easily turn into a nightmare. In sum, a really fun time, but this place could use some upgrades.
