We stayed in the casitas this weekend and they were quite nice! Each bedroom had it's own bathroom and there was plenty of space for everyone.
There was a bit of a snafu as we had rented a cabana but they were all apparently destroyed in a monsoon earlier in the week. Unfortunately, there was a serious lack of communication as our organizer did not find this out until she arrived at the hotel early in the morning. Following that, there was a lack of a communication as my friend was told that we would be comped some food and drinks to compensate for a pop-up instead of a cabana. Upon arriving at the pool, that was not the case and I believe a compromise was reached giving us the pop-up for two days and a discount on food and drink.
Certainly things happen but communication could have definitely have been better.
Our server at the pool was outstanding (I think her name was Brittany?) and she checked on us regularly.
Their claims of a "water park" are a stretch. The water park consists of a couple pools, one (ONE) water slide and a lazy river. Anyone arriving and excited about a water park is going to be disappointed.
I found the layout of the casitas to rival an apartment complex - completely confusing and I'm not sure we would have ever found our casita had we not been following a friend who knew exactly where it was.
