| - Terrible quality of furniture when delivered by poor customer service. That makes Structube a total disaster of a furniture shopping experience. You have been warned!
First, they tried to scam $90 of delivery fee with NO option for in store pickup even if I know I can pick it up myself.
Second, when my bed was delivered, I found that the headboard fabric and studs were clearly misaligned and the metal frame is bent up. Even on instruction step 1, the nuts and bolts don't fit.
Third, I immediately called the store. All I got were instructions from the store manager was to send a complaint to customer service. However, once I asked for the store manager's email address, the manager quickly rushed through the spelling of his email. I asked him to repeat, he rushed again and hung up right after. Of course, I tried sending my pictures to the email, and it was an invalid email address.
I was furious at that point. I went personally to the store to seek for a reasonable customer service to my ordeal. The store manager was not happy to see me. I showed him the nuts and bolts parts, and he pulled out his tool case and verbally said that he will fix it. 15 min later, he is still searching through his tool box and then gave up. He offered to refund the bed. When I asked for the delivery charge refund, he said we would need to talk to the district manager. And so we did.
Fourth, I called the district manager. Talking to the district manager made my already bad shopping experience worsen 100x more. There is two things that he said on the phone which shocked me. One, he said "Structube makes good quality furniture, however you have not purchased the higher priced model. Then you SHOULD expect the quality is not as good."
As I knew I couldnt go further with this Toronto district manager, then I politely asked for a name that I could escalate this complaint. He repeatedly mentioned "There's no one above me. I only report to the company, no one could ever escalate this case. I was recommended to make a complaint to the general customer service." I asked, who will read these emails? He said, "I'm the only one".
At this point, I knew I dug too deep to this shopping scam of poor quality products with no delivery charge refund. The only hope I have is to issue this red flag alert to my fellow furniture shoppers. Don't ever shop at Structube. What you see at the showroom is not the same quality that you get delivered to you. They will charge you $90 to deliver junk.
P.S. The district manager is so naive that even he did not give out a name of his superior. The fact of the matter is, it only takes a few clicks away to find the name of the Structube CEO, or VP of Sales, Marketing and Public Relations. But to me it's just laughable someone would claim there's no one above him.
