  • On a recent trip to Vegas I stumbled across the Burger Brasserie while exploring the Las Vegas strip and the neighboring shops. As I walked in the place was fairly empty and when I asked for a table was told there would be a short wait. After about 10 minutes I was called to the front and taken to a seat at the bar. I explained to the hostess that I would prefer a table even the small two seater and they reluctantly sat me at a small table nearby next to the bar. My gut was telling me after this to leave but I was extremely hungry and the menu looked appealing so I hesitantly took the seat at the bar. My server Christina was friendly enough to begin and took my drink order quickly. It then took about 10 minutes to get my Pepsi and have my order taken. I placed an order for the Cilantro Lime Chicken Skewers and they took about 20 minutes to come out from the kitchen. When my food arrived my drink was near empty but was not offered a refill by the server and instead the bartender (I didn't get his name) saw it and asked what I was drinking and quickly brought me another. My server walked by my table about a dozen times or more but never stopped to see how anything was or ask if I needed anything further. I was not offered any additional items and even had to track down another server to ask for my bill so I could pay and go. I was at the table for well over an hour for a single Pepsi and skewers (which had decent flavor but lacked anything to put it over the top). The pricing was quite reasonable for the food but the flavors were a bit lacking and the service from Christina was as poor as can be for me. I did notice her larger parties got plenty of attention and service but me being alone seemed to put me in a lower class for service. I normally tip very well but I was so fed up with this place and the wait that I simply left a $20 on the table and made my way out of the place. I actually was looking at getting an additional dessert item but was never offered and didn't feel they deserved my business. Overall the service was a 2 star (the 2nd being the bartender stepping up big time for refills and making sure I was okay when he saw that I was getting frustrated) and the food was actually quite good. The place may look nice but when you get treated as a second class citizen because you aren't part of a larger party is a bit concerning and I probably would not return in the future.
