| - First of all, I would like to say that everyone was really nice at this facility.
When I first entered the waiting room, however, it smelled pretty strong of body odor. I realize that people are exercising there, but some air fresheners would have been helpful.
The staff that worked with me were all very young. I actually wasnt even sure if they were therapists or just assistants. They all seemed to be in their early 20's, which is fine, but they were very distracted and wandered around while I waited for them. What takes 1-1.5 hrs at my current facility, took 3 hours at Foothills! They were not hands on at all. They would just tell me, "Do this for 15 reps" or "Do this for 5 minutes", then would walk away. I wasnt wearing a watch and couldnt find a clock in my sight, so the timing was a guess. I had no idea if I was doing the therapies correctly or not because the staff didnt not stick around to supervise my motions or work with me. When I was done with each individual exercise, I typically had to wait for one of the therapists to meander over and find something else for me to do. I typically waited around 5 minutes by myself between each exercise.
It really wasted a lot of my time and although he staff was friendly, it seemed like they were all bored or didnt really know what to do. Perhaps they kept the game on in another room, because when I was waiting for the therapist, he was no where to be found!
I am not even sure the guys that worked on me were actual physical therapists, because I had 5 different people work on me (in 2 sessions) and none of them really knew what to do, they all acted like it was their first day on the job and were waiting for their boss to give them direction.
After 2 sessions with Foothills I transferred to another rehab facility where I get one on one PT , giving me guidance and supervision AND I get everything done in 1 1/2 hours!
