| - Rented from them a year ago, thought I'd try it again. Nothing really stood out for me except the prices. This year when I got my confirmation of my reservation (made online) I saw that one of the dates was clearly off by a day. Checking this all the way through the reservation process, I was dismayed that it was off by a day! Being that it was 3 weeks away, I figured they'd be able to help.
I called the main Advantage 800# and asked them to change it and they said because it was the Pay Now option, they couldn't. They referred me to the local Phoenix office at Sky Harbor, and said THEY could help me. Of course, upon calling the Phoenix office, they said no, they couldn't I'd have to call the main 800# for Advantage, who could help me. After being bounced around like this, I got pretty upset. Still, no help. So, bottom line, I had to pay $50 bucks to cancel a reservation that I'll never use.
Thanks, Advantage. The only advantage I can see to renting a car from you is canceling ahead of time and never, ever considering this company as an option again.
