| - When we pay out of pocket for our rentals or have a choice, we tend to stay away from Budget. We've always run into problems with them. This time, we didn't have a choice because the rental was provided for work. As usual with Budget, we feel like we received a sub-par automobile.
The car is older, doesn't have any of the upgrades we've come to expect from their competitors as similar prices, and it has a broken driver seat. I'm 6'2" and I can't fit in the drivers chair without tilting my head to the side with my ear pressed against the roof. Someone broke the mechanism that lets you raise/lower or move backwards/forwards. Just to clarify, I've found the manual lever that is supposed to do the job, it's just broken and does not adjust the seat at all. I can recline the seat to make it easier to get into the car, but I have to recline so far back that I can't reach the wheel. I should have traded it in when we were at the airport, but we were in a hurry to find our lodging and I just assumed I couldn't find the manual lever or the automatic switch at the time. For now, I'll just laugh about it.
Other than a poor car, our rental experience was decent. The offsite building is really nice, we didn't wait too long, and the employees are professional. To be honest, you can't really rate this kiosk because it's in the same exact location away from the airport that all of the other rentals are found. If you don't like one, your not gonna like the other. You even take the same bus to get to them all.
