  • I've been to hundreds of concerts across the country and I'm attempting to write a review of every venue to assist my concert going troubadours. Tyler Childers March 2, 2018 I want to give Stage AE a five star review because it's my favorite venue in PGH, but it fell just a little short on this night because the staff was unprepared and overwhelmed by the crowd. We had to hang out at Tequila Cowboy across the street until the line to get into Stage AE was reasonable (well over an hour after the doors opened). The lines to get into this place seem to be an ongoing issue which is a huge problem at a curfew venue. Once in, the bartenders looked like they wanted to cry. We eventually found one that was hustling and voluntarily offered me a double poor which is odd because the last time I was here a girl almost got fired for giving me a double poor when I asked. We still saw shots being poured into ice-packed cups.... so the liquor policy is still uneven and wonky. These minor issues and it being a curfew venue - making your experience feel a little short changed - still prevent Stage AE from being awarded 5 stars.
