I'm sitting at the McCarran airport in Vegas waiting for a flight when I should be arriving in Long Beach on my original flight that left almost an hour ago. Why is that ??? Let me tell you why... My flight was suppose to leave at 4:19pm and boarding started at 3:44pm,
I arrived to the gate at 4:00pm hearing a customer service rep announcing it was final boarding call for our flight. Luckily the lady hung up the phone as we got to the gate but then the man at the desk, Cisco, said we missed our flight with no hesitation. I asked him why that would be if we still had 20 min til our flight departed. He said because we were too late. Since when is JetBlue's "policy" to close the gates early but not have all the passengers on the flight? All of a sudden another worker comes up and says we got there too late by this time it's about 15 min before departure and I'm still asking why we can't get on the flight if the doors were still open and the plane was still having it's cargo loaded on. They still gave me a sorry excuse of it being too late. By then I pulled out my phone and started filming and asked for a supervisor. Then the 2nd worker "Jester" claims he's the supervisor and rudely says something about the paperwork being completed which I asked for an explanation and they refused. They kept repeating themselves about putting us on the next flight without an explanation And saying we were too late. I asked for another supervisor or manager but they said there was no one else
So I asked for a phone number and they gave me the 800-JetBlue number.
I am so glad I have the whole thing on video and a few Witnesses that they also didn't let on the flight because I'm not gonna let this one go. I can understand if I got there at 4:15 or even 4:10 but the fact that I was there 20 min before departure is just ridiculous. Needless to say I will never fly JetBlue again.
