| - We successfully escaped Pompeii, and it was SO much fun! This was my fourth escape room to play, and it was by far the most difficult and most intricate of any of the rooms I had ever done. The clues were very cryptic and tricky. The entire group was on their toes and thinking hard for the entire hour. Most clues would lead you to a new room, and the POP of a new door or cabinet unlocking always made one or two people jump. It was very thrilling to say the least.
We were played a video at the start of our hour to introduce us to the story. It was very loud, but the background music downed out the narrator's voice. Subtitles would have helped, because I didn't feel very drawn into the story from the video. I didn't feel that the story was very prominent while we played either, but the intricacies in the room made up for that.
We played with 8 people and got a 15% discount, coming out to $29 per person. It was definitely worth the price. They were very detail oriented with every room, and you got to do more than just figure out padlock codes. Booking was very easy. I called with a question, and they called me back shortly and let me book over the phone. Oh, and there are also retro video games to play while you wait! Thanks, Escapeability. I can't wait to come back and visit!
