  • Very Disappointing Facial I was given a gift certificate for a facial at Salon Zen. Unfortunately, I did not have a good experience and do not recommend getting a facial here with the current esthetician. The esthetician that they have now (January 2015) is very inexperienced. (she did not introduce herself so I don't know her name). She did not seem knowledgable about skin and had very poor technique. The worse part was when she used the microdermabrasion machine. The suction was much too strong for my skin and she did it one handed (wand in one hand and she did not support the skin with her other hand). The strong pulling of skin around my eyes resulted in numerous broken blood vessels and a lot of swelling. I had to apply ice packs to my face when I got home. Sorry to write a negative review, but I don't want others to waste their time and money and risk injury to their skin.
