Stay away!!! My mother in law (who is not originally from this country) used century 21 northwest to rent a home. She was told the home would be fixed up before she moved in (issues like dirty carpet). Not only was this NOT done, but they actually charged her for the repairs that they should have done before move in. The carpet above the stairs was so loose and in need of stretching or replacement my poor MIL tripped over it and fell down the stairs. She had preciously requested this be fixed. They are lucky she didn't sue them. At move out, they kept her entire security deposit and charged more on top of that in ridiculous amounts for bogus things ($hundreds for "weed removal" when the damn house had a paved patio with no weeds not space for weeds to grow). She herself is a cleaning lady and kept the house spotless, and was charged hundreds for cleaning on move out. They took advantage of a wonderful tenant, moving her into a dirty, outdated and poorly kept house with promise of fixing things. Her rent was high for what she was actually renting in the first place. They charged her for the things they should have fixed before she even moved in and more bogus charges on top of it. She is polite and just accepted it because this is her cultural norm but I'm furious about the way she was taken advantage of and I have a yelp account to tell you to be aware of what happened to her! I'm so pissed and we have since moved her elsewhere- much cheaper and in way better condition
