  • Decided on Buddy V's after looking into all the great restaurants on the Strip. Prices are reasonable for a "famous person's'" restaurant. Sat at a table with a view of the open kitchen. Thin breadsticks individually wrapped at each table. Great calamari fritters appetizer. Crispy and nice marinara sauce on the side. Ordered Clams and linguini. They were ok.. chewy clams, very light on garlic, but substantial portion. Friend ordered vodka sauce rigatoni with chicken. Good sauce, chicken breast a little tough but all around not bad. We opted not to have dessert with our meal since we were full and instead went 'across the street' to Carlo's Bake Shop. I've never been to the original one in New York, but I'm guessing they serve many of the same items in Vegas. It was just as crowded as the restaurant if not more. There is a large window to view the pastry chefs/bakers decorating the cakes - a great way to pass the time while you are waiting to get your desserts.
