Overall review (Bad, OK, Good): Food = Good; Service = Good; Ambience = Good
Being a transplant from the NYC area, this place gives off a NYC feel. No matter what day of the week it's bustling.
Food: On my first visit, my party guest and I shared the ribeye for two. It came with bone marrow which was okay. I like bone marrow but the consistency of this one didn't work for me, the gratin style wasn't working for me with the marrow. The ribeye also came with a side of fries. Additionally, we ordered a side of fried brussel sprouts. The sides were ordinary, nothing special.
On my second visit, I ordered the moules w/white wine and frites. The balance of flavors was right on. The portion size was generous. If there was a negative - and it really technically wasn't a negative - was that they put chorizo with the moules.
Service: Attentive enough not to be overbearing; friendly.
Ambience: Very lively. Music is a bit loud but makes for the energetic atmosphere.
