| - Most of my Yelp reviews are positive because I seldom feel compelled to complain about a business even if my experience is dreadful; however, my situation with Vegas Hot! made me so disappointed enough to leave this here.
Let me preface with the fact that I used to frequent this studio years ago when I used to live in Las Vegas for the first time. There are a lot of pros such as frequent classes from early morning to late night, a good variety of different styles of yoga and other workouts, plenty of rooms, and upbeat instructors.
I recently made the decision to move back to Las Vegas, so I had called about their "Black Friday" deal several months ago and there was a very nice girl on the phone who told me that there's no rush because they were offering the deal through Christmas. This was extremely convenient for me because I hadn't moved to Vegas quite yet. She even said I can purchase it and wait to actually activate my membership until after I move and settle in. 5 days before Christmas, I called to purchase the offer and a different person informed me they are no longer offering that deal. I explained to her that I planned on purchasing it about a month prior but was informed I had plenty of time so I held off. She debated for a little saying they had to let go of a lot of their staff because they weren't correctly doing their jobs. She remained mostly professional and eventually was able to connect me to the manager.
When it comes to any business, I do not hold grudges against the workers under bad leadership. Management, however, is a different story. How a manager handles an issue says a lot about the representation and true nature of a business. Basically, I spoke with the manager and he told me that because of my unique situation he would speak with the owners and get permission to honor the original agreement. He took my number and was cordial on the phone. Weeks later, no call. I called to follow up and another employee I hadn't spoken to in the past answered. I calmly and politely asked if there is any update on my membership. She had a lot of attitude and made an offensive comment that I don't even want to leave here. She went and spoke to the manager letting him know I was on the phone and he didn't even come to the phone. Instead, she told me there's a note of the past conversation between he and I that states he had informed me he cannot do anything about my situation because the deal has ended.
In the end, no thank you on that deal anyway. I would rather pay 4 times the monthly membership fee at a studio that is actually hospitable to its patrons. This entire experience has left me heartbroken because I've spoken so highly of Vegas Hot! and couldn't wait to return when I moved back. It's a real shame.
