| - A few of my friends and I wanted to go to Beer Market to watch the Penguins game. We were initially confused, because Beer Market was apparently gone when we arrived to the north shore, and 2 new bars were now on the block (when did that happen?) Anyway, I was pretty sure this was the same spot. It wasn't too packed yet, so we were able to easily grab a a few bar stools at the island in the middle of the bar. TVs are within view from any seat/any angle and they had their large window front open to give an almost-outdoors vibe. On that note, they do appear to be dog friendly, as there was a group with a dog inside. Our server was very friendly, and was working his butt off for the crowd that soon became pretty large--I am not positive but it seemed like he may have been the only server for the night and though he did a great job, probably could have used help.
Keep in mind that Beer Head does only serve beer. You can probably find any beer you can imagine you'd want in their book of a menu, which they organize by (very specific, I am not a connoisseur) style of beer--I love this because it is also a great place to find something new to try. If you want food, they do allow/encourage you to order delivery from other restaurants; my friend actually walked just across the street and got take out from Steel Cactus at PNC park to bring back in.
We had such a fun night--even though the game was a bit disappointing, the bar and the clientele definitely were not.
