  • I took my best friend out for drinks and dessert for her birthday- after the appetizer which was actually good, we had a salad and decided to stop there. We added a few drinks and wanted dessert. Without asking us, our waitress brought a nicely decorated slice of chocolate cake? We wanted to share the warm butter cake and would have gladly paid for it. And while it was nice of her to bring the chocolate cake, when I mentioned the warm butter cake, she made it a point to tell us she bought it for us??? Now we had to eat it or feel guilty. She actually told us we could order the butter cake too but we aren't very big girls, coupled with the guilt trip we just went ahead and picked at the cake she brought. Why would you tell your patrons you bought them something if for no other reason than to pad the tip? I guess so they can't order what they really wanted? I m still sort of bothered. Dear Maestros, Usually your staff is impeccable. The service is spot on and the dessert is up to me to choose. If you want to offer a complimentary dessert- leave the guilt trip, pad my tip- speech out of the friendly waitstaff banter. The time spent with my girlfriend was worth it, the food was fine but it's how you leave that people most remember and the end of our get together for drinks wasn't at all memorable in the way I had hoped. Thanks for trying.
