This is really more like 3.5 stars but I rounded up because this place is just so gosh darn cute. My boyfriend and I came here on a Saturday morning and were expecting a longer wait but we only stood in line a few minutes before it was our turn to order. I ordered the veggie scramble and my boyfriend ordered the standard breakfast with eggs, toast, and bacon.
I think we may have gotten the wrong items because I honestly was just not that impressed by my scramble. It had a lot of veggies in it which was nice but was lacking in flavor and seemed like the sort of scramble I can toss together for breakfast with some leftover veg in my fridge. This, coupled with some hash browns that were also underseasoned, made for kind of a disappointing experience, considering I'd heard good things about this place and was expecting something funkier and more flavorful for a place on Willy St. I'm all for good simple breakfast food but if you're going for simple, I think it should be executed really well. The saving grace of the meal were the scones we picked up on the way out - a cherry one and a coffee chip one. They were buttery, rich, and delicious. I can't say I'd order the scramble again but think I'd come here for the baked goods and also to try another dish on the menu because the atmosphere is exceedingly pleasant.
