I've been dying to stay at the Vdara and finally got my chance.
Valet parking only so if you want to self park, park at the Bellagio or Aria. Both are a short walk away. The Bellagio is actually connected to Vdara through an outdoor walk way. Its a very short walk, although it can be quite dreadful on a scorching Vegas day. I don't know why they didn't connect it like they do at Paris/Ballys - indoor away from nature's elements.
Smell of the hotel is nice. Non-gaming, non-smoking resort, very refreshing. Check in was relatively quick. I liked the uniform the front desk clerks wear.
Room is nice with a kitchenette. Very convenient to have a frig to store your leftovers. Bed was comfortable although I found stains on a pillow case - not a fan of that. Bathroom has a separate shower and tub. I did not like the fact that I was able to look into the bathroom while laying in bed. Kind of grosses me out, but that's just me. Bathroom could have been cleaner, but it was acceptable.
Housekeeping is super friendly and replenishes your frig with bottles of complimentary Vdara water. The water on the mini-bar side is not free, so make sure you drink the correct one.
Elevators were super hot for some reason. They need to find a way to get some AC up in there. Either that or turn the lighting down so it doesn't warm up.
Overall the Vdara was nice and I wouldn't mind staying again, although it would not be my first choice. I like the convenience of being able to come down the elevator and already be in the casino.
