  • While the location is perfect, the dining experience was not. My husband and I had dinner at Lure on 9/6/14. We did not have reservations, but we did not need one and were seated outside at our request. The server was courteous and took our drink orders - my husband ordered wine and I an ice tea. She returned with our drinks and two glasses of water. The wine pour was a disappointment which was a harbinger of things to come. Because it was an oyster bar, we ordered a starter of a full platter of "house" oysters - read: oysters the size and appearance of a 6 year-old's spittle. It came with horseradish, cocktail sauce and some indescribable beet colored liquid. Sadly the oysters never make it to the sauce because they slip through the fork and disappear somewhere in the ice chips. Dinner: we ordered the fish tacos - One order of Ahi tuna and one of Mahi-Mahi. Each order comes with a side of rice. While waiting for the dinner order my husband ordered a beer. I suggested he order a can and a glass, but he ordered a draft beer instead. Big mistake. The glass is not a beer glass, if you follow me. Our order arrives. My tacos were suppose to have a mango mixture - I was expecting a mango salsa concoction - what I got: three small pieces of tuna and smallish chunks of mango. My husband's fish tacos had thin slices the size of an index finger. We left hungry and not returning.
