| - I love antique and vintage stores. Great Finds is just that (literally, a great find). I wandered in here after picking up a chocolate Yoda at the neighboring Fear's Confections.
The window display is what lured me in. I am a sucker for vintage looking, refurbished furniture. When you enter, Great Finds has a plethora of trinkets (ranging from door knobs to porcelain figurines), and a wide variety of furniture (mostly chairs, armoires, dressers and china cabinets) that line the store. But what really blew me away about the store was the gorgeous dressers. DRESSERS! The helpful gentleman in the front informed me that the owner hunts for pieces, fixes them up and paints them. These dressers were GORGEOUS. They were painted light colors and had a unique flair... each one was totally one-of-a-kind, whether in shape or style. I regret not having known about this place when I was looking for a new piece for my master bedroom.
Let me tell you, this store has a LOT of inventory stuffed into its narrows lanes. Just by nature, furniture takes up space, so it was a little hard for me to appreciate and see everything as I walked through the path aisles big enough for 1-2 people. The lighting is also a bit dark in some places. I didn't purchase any furniture (though they do offer delivery), but I would absolutely return here in the future to peruse their ever changing stock. Who would've thought such awesome vintage furniture could exist in Lakewood?
