  • Recently renovated and rebranded as the Bloor Street Market, this store is definitely caters to the weekday lunch/busy urbanite crowd. There's a salad bar, espresso, smoothies, hot food counter, lots of pre-packaged sushi and a decent selection of quick-service bakery items that include selections from Dufflet. Yum. The store is bright, clean, and well-organized (except for the frozen berries being in the bakery section. Weird.) Definitely lacking in organic items, but I've found that's pretty typical of groceries in Toronto (unless you go to a specialty store). That said, the place is so new that the management is happy to listen if you have specific requests. Close proximity to the LCBO and Rexall is great -- one stop shopping is a plus!
