What a sad day. I have been bringing my family here for years. My daughters have known these waitresses since they were born. When Lou sold the place we didn't go as much, because the prices went up. We would still visit on occasion. When I would show up I was greeted by my first name and they always knew what I would eat. Today I met my wife and daughter there for breakfast. I didn't recognize the waitresses, which is no big deal. I waited for a much longer time than necessary for them to just ask me what I was drinking. We ordered our food and waited, and waited, and waited, and waited some more. People all around us were getting their food. People that showed up well after we ordered. After waiting for over 45 min, my wife, daughter and I left hungry and frustrated. It feels as though one of my favorite places has closed down for good, but the sad thing is that they are still open.
I may try one last time before I give up for good, but a place that felt like visiting Grandma's house, is starting to feel like a chain restaurant where your nothing more than a unpaid bill.
