| - I am a Diamond player (black/purple chip level) of several years with Paris and Caesars Entertainment who won't be coming back to patronize or play at this property. A few years ago, I really enjoyed coming and playing cards at the Paris. As of last week, I was thoroughly shocked at what I experienced at their hotel and casino. On the casino floor, every single dealer looked utterly miserable and unapproachable. They all stared and gave evil, dirty looks to players who were scoping out the tables as if to say, "Please don't sit down at my table!". I understand, there's a lot of interesting characters in Las Vegas and the dealers have to encounter and entertain a lot of people. However, that's no excuse for poor customer service because of that fact. Mind you, I'm 24 years old, so I know there's a stigma around young people that are going to Las Vegas, that we are all drunk party kids who come to Vegas to go crazy and get into trouble-- but that's not me. I'm dressed in designer clothes, I'm very professional & courteous to everyone. I'm not a trashed frat bro looking to play at a table and make a scene. This was middle of the day on a Sunday, too, not in the middle of the night. After dealing with Total Rewards and a cashier who didn't accept my initial signature to receive my freeplay, I walked up to a blackjack table to play the coupons I had. I found a mostly empty blackjack table and sat down. The angry dealer rolled her eyes at me and demanded my ID. She screamed for the pit boss to come and verify it before starting the game. I was polite and I understand the protocol they have in place. The floor woman was rude as well, even after handing her my Diamond card, which should at least tell them that I am a serious player. She was looking at my freeplay coupons as if I forged them at home and spent a good three minutes investigating it and researching my ID. When I placed the couple freeplay coupons on the betting circle, the dealer stared at me and said, "That's all you're going to bet?" in regard to my $25/hand bet, tapped her hand on the table aggressively and slammed the cards down onto the table. The almost retired cocktail waitress then came by the table and requested our ID's, even though we weren't even ordering a drink. I was already sitting at a table with two friends. Why are we being carded again? OK, fine. But there's a polite way to do that. There has to be a better system so loyal younger guests don't feel harassed by bitter staff. Eventually, I lost the freeplay and I still smiled and thanked the miserable dealer. As I walked away, she told the other player loudly, "GOOD THING HE LOST!" What kind of comment is that in a casino? They judged me for being a young guest. However, I'm a very big tipper, so they are missing out. I have tipped dealers hundreds of dollars on a good run over the course of play. Maybe if she, or perhaps most dealers there, weren't so bitter & were nice to their players, maybe they would make tips and be a little more cheerful & happy as they made money playing with their guests. Then, the woman checking guests into the Diamond Lounge was rude to my friend and she left crying. I honestly thought this whole experience was a joke on me. Was the service at the Paris really this poor all around? I felt as if I was at some local card room, not a Las Vegas Caesars resort. Is this the type of customer service that Caesars Entertainment strives for? I would patronize their other properties, but Paris seems like the black sheep for their brand.
