| - I went here yesterday during happy hour for the half priced apps and some beers. I always passed this place but never came inside until yesterday. It's a very small place, and extremely dark, dingy, rundown and depressing inside. There was only one person inside, a friend of the bartenders sitting at the bar. We sat in a half booth in a corner and the seats were just awful. They were ripped and cracked faux leather and it felt uncomfortable and dirty, it was like going to visit someone's house and immediately regretting it. It was just gross, the table was sticky, there was no way I could enjoy a beer and some food in this atmosphere and I'll admit my standards aren't all that high to begin with. The bartender took our order, a Birdsong beer and the chicken nachos. Bartender seemed bored and annoyed, lacked any type of enthusiasm or personality one would expect from a service professional. Pale woman with dark hair. When she brought out the beer is when we finally decided we didn't want to eat or drink anything in this place, it was so bleak and dirty looking. We got up and let the bartender know that sorry, but we were leaving. The beer was untouched and she had the audacity to say "you ordered the beer so you need to pay for it before you leave." Working in bars and restaurants for years I can tell you, that is NOT how it works. I was not going to pay for a beer we did not drink or try to quickly chug a beer in a nasty bar just to avoid problems. I told her I worked in the industry, I know how it works, and that we were leaving, thanks. Also, they only had SIX beers on tap and none of them were even close to appealing. Would not recommend.
