We sat at the bar on a pretty slow Saturday night for dinner and it doesn't have the same feel as the south side location. The older bartender with long brown hair never cracked a smile or acknowledged us- she had a general harsh persona about her and made us feel unwelcome. Another diner that was sitting at a table behind us asked her for a refill on his water and she rudely told him that he would have to wait for his server to get him water. Finally, a friendly, younger blonde bartender took our drink and dinner orders. She was very nice and attentive and was happy to have a tab since the other staff members were complaining, rather loudly, about how slow it's been for them- and I guess that equates to lack of tips. I don't need to hear that while I'm out out trying to enjoy my evening out with my husband. The food was good but the general atmosphere of the bar area was just uninviting. The prices are a bit overinflated for their sushi compared to other places in the area. I think Ichiban has a much better atmosphere and better service.
