| - My roommates and I have lived at San Tropez for the past 3 years. Yes, THREE YEARS, in the same apartment and with a dog no less. Over time there have been ups and downs with how we have felt about the place, but overall it has been a very positive experience living here.
Are the appliances a little out dated, sure. Our A/C unit runs constantly on high throughout the summer because it cant circulate or pump enough cool air consistently to keep the place where we like it. So we suck it up and pay a ridiculous electric bill. Our ceiling has leaked during some monsoons which caused a little bit of a circus, but eventually, we got a credit on our account and it was fixed.
The grounds are nice, and the landscapers keep it looking good. In our time there the asphalt has been re-finished twice (not sure why, but whatever) and the pool is great. Granted, it can get a little wild on the weekends, but when you sign your lease at San Tropez, you can't expect to be living in some retirement community - its massive, and its halfway between old town and Tempe. Do some research people.
To finalize my review, we've enjoyed our stay at ST. The staff has been kind and courteous to us for the past 3 years, and the apartment was in a great location to everywhere we needed to go in Scottsdale. I recommend living here if you can suck it up with some of the noise (which isn't that bad once you're away from the pool) and the buildings and appliances being a little bit older.
