Stayed at the Flamingo for a short family staycation. I booked the room through Hotels.com. Price was good but ended up doubling after paying the resort ($28) and early check in ($20) fee. I know all hotels have a resort fee so was expecting that but the early check seemed a bit much since it was less than an hour before official check in. I wasn't trying to wait in line again so just paid it. Room was ok as long as you don't look to close. It was not what I was expecting. We booked a fab luxury strip view mainly for the whirlpool tub but when we got to the room it had a regular tub and the view was nothing to write home about. The room seemed half renovated. Fixtures, tub/shower and furnishings were all extremely dated. Flooring and bedding seemed newer. TV was horrible, very small and dim. I know most people in Vegas aren't sitting in their room watching TV but damn. We didn't have any issues with parking like in other reviews, maybe because our stay was midweek. The best thing about this hotel is the location. If you just need a inexpensive place to crash this is a good choice.
