The espresso is good but IMHO it ranks slightly below some of the other places. More power outlets are needed. Also I'm not really a fan of having to ask for a key to the restroom. It's not a gas station. Have faith that we will not abuse our privileges, and G-d forbid a homeless person comes inside to use the facilities once in a while.
So why the still-not-too-shabby four star rating? Giant just has a very chill, down-to-earth vibe that's a little hipster but not pretentious. There is a nice variety of seating options - two-tops, onesies, and a large communal table in the center. I like the front window/wall that can be opened up for fresh air on nice days, and the acoustics are such that all the sounds kind of meld into a gentle drone.
I wouldn't call myself a giant fan, but I am nonetheless a fan of Giant.
